GR-17 Facsimile Filing
Facsimile filing of most documents is authorized by General Rule 17 (GR-17). Click here to read GR-17.
However, many courts will not accept the filing of documents directly. Instead they require the intervention of a 3rd party to receive the document, examine the document and determines it is complete and legible, and then file it with the court on paper.
4th Corner Network’s offices are strategically located within one block of the Whatcom and Skagit county court houses allowing us to take your last minute filing those last few steps.
Always contact us in advance of sending a document for GR-17 filing. Our telephone numbers and email address are listed above in the banner of this page.
There are three ways to send us the documents for a GR-17 filing. We’ll print your documents and prepare them for GR-17 filing at superior court.
Send them to this address: special@4thcorner.com. This address is used for both Bellingham and Mount Vernon.
Fax us the documents. Bellingham and Mount Vernon Fax # – 360-734-1286
If you do not receive a communication from us confirming receipt within 5 minutes of transmission of the document then call us to confirm.
Regardless of how you send the documents ALWAYS send them individually. DO NOT send several documents in a single file or under a single fax cover sheet. Here are some examples:
- File Upload– Suppose your are sending three declarations. Upload them as three separate files, one for each document.
- E-mailing– Suppose you are sending three declarations. Send in a single e-mail with three attachments, one for each document.
- Faxing– Suppose you are sending three declarations. Put a cover sheet on top of each declaration. Fax the documents one at a time. Send three faxes, one for each document.
Avoid combining multiple documents into a single file, such as several documents in a single PDF. Prepare each document into its own PDF (or other file type). If you have any questions about this please call us.
Fee Schedule
Times are computed based upon complete reception of your documents. Per page costs are $.50 for each page received and $.25 per page for additional copies prepared. Copies going to locations other than the court (opposing counsel, etc.) are subject to additional messenger fees.
